1920’S MEISEN KIMONO WITH RED AND BLACK STENCILED PATTERNMeisen is a special kind of silk. Weaving the dyed cocoon filament and silk thread creates the cloth. Meisen is known for its durability and beauty. The red and black pattern is stenciled on the cloth. A design like this one could take as many as a dozen different stencils. Please notice the shading and color variation throughout. The bodice is lined in white cotton and the hem is lined in pink cotton. The garment is in good condition.
