The murasaki (purple) silk is decorated in a pattern of large peonies, pine boughs and cranes. The elaborate decoration on the hem is unique to this era. Please notice the large mon, also indicative of the era. The hem's design is augmented by hand embroidery. The family crest is a crane motif known as a “god crest”.
