The silk for this lovely haori is woven in a fine lightweight cloth. The tie-dye pattern is made up of square ring dots called yokobiki kanoko. Using this tie the artist created a design of wheels. The ties dyed rings are somewhat irregular in size and form. In this haori the shibori dots are pressed flat. Please notice this haori and its sleeves are extra long. The jacket is completely lined in an ornate silk. The linings pattern features snow wheels with flowers and water symbols. Some of the flowers are hand embroidered. The design makes us think of a flower boat motif. The lining has some small stains and a tiny hole but these do not show on the outer garment. The outer haori is in good condition.
